MEENU'S GRANDPA

 MEENU'S GRANDPA

So we don't share any sort of relationship. Yes, he is my distant neighbor and maybe any kind of distant relative. The relation we share is an emotion. The morning and evening smile we share with each other when our path crosses. And sometimes the question "are you late today?" That's it!

He is 85 years now, a white-beared old man who still earns for his family. He wakes early, works hard, and earns enough to at least support his own expenses. He normally wears a loose half sleeve shirt and loose pants and always carries a long towel or a rag usually white or red in color. He is smart and energetic. His morning and evening smile always spread positivity in me. Every day morning and evening my eyes spread throughout my way for him and it creates a void in my day if miss seeing him.

So today the news of his death shattered me. I know I'll forget him sooner or later. After all, our relationship is just an emotion of a smile. For me, he is just "MEENUNTE MUTHACHAN"
